On Saturday 31st October, 23 swimmers from Rushden Swimming Club competed in Corbys 50th Anniversary Long Course Meet. 

RSC swimmers swam fantastically and came away with 41 long course PBs and 10 new PBs. On top of that, they won 30 medals between them.
 
14 swimmers qualified for the 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle finals with some great results:
Mollie Chapman 2nd in 10yrs 50 free and 100 free, Freya Cole 1st in 13/14 yrs 50m free and 2nd in 100 free, Amber Bales 3rd in 13/14 yrs 50m free, Molly Britchford 1st in 15/16 yrs 50m & 100m free, Alice Thorncroft 3rd in 17+ 50m free and 2nd in 100 free, Marcus Eaton 1st in 17+ 50m & 100m free, Jamie Hooks 2nd in 17+ 50 free and 3rd in 100m free, Harris Hoyte 3rd in 15/16yrs 50m free.
 
Other medals that were gained during the exciting day were from:
Harris Hoyte 1st 15/16 yrs 50 fly, Marcus Eaton 1st in 17+ 50 fly, backstroke & breaststroke, Philipa Kabi 1st 13/14 yrs 50 back, Molly Britchford 1st 15/16 yrs 50m back and fly and 2nd 50m breaststroke, Mollie Chapman 3rd 10 yrs 50m fly, Alice Thorncroft 3rd 17+ 50m fly and 2nd 50m back, Ryan Protty-Gibbs 3rd 10yrs 50m back, Jack Chapman 3rd 13/14 yrs 50m back, Jamie Hooks 2nd 17+ 50m back, Freya Cole 1st 13/14 yrs 50 breaststroke and Amber Bales 3rd in 13/14 yrs 50 m breaststroke.
 
Every swimmer who entered the event gave 100%, the hard work is paying off,  as the club was also awarded Top Visiting Club.
