Please see below recent communication and document link:-

RSC All Swimmers Strecthes.pdf

Please find in the above link a list of all stretching exercises that the club have advised are mandatory to commencing with the swimmer's training session.

All swimmers have been instructed on how to partake in these exercises and it is important that they arrive at each session in time to carry out these stretches before getting into the pool. Once on poolside conversations should cease and stretches should be taken seriously and used as your pre-swimming warm up. Swimmers will not be allowed to enter the pool until all stretches have been made.

Stretching is one of the best ways to keep your muscles healthy. Stretching regularly will strengthen your muscles and increase your flexibility. The more flexible you are, the better it is for your joints and range of movement. Keeping muscles and joints in top condition helps with your day-to-day range of motion and can help guard against injury.

Attached lists of stretches are easy to follow so that you do not need to wait for a coach to instruct you, but obviously a coach will be on hand should you need assistance.

Any concerns or questions please do not hesitate to let myself or Kate Bush know.

Kind regards

Alison
