Volunteers Needed

As you are aware RSC Club Championships 2017 is approaching us quickly.
Like last year we are looking for parent volunteers to help with our annual event on Saturday the 18th of November and Saturday the 2nd of December 2017 to ensure that it is a successful event for all our swimmers. We would like to have volunteers from each of the squads as this will help you to get to know other parents whilst carrying out roles to support the Club Champs.
There are a range of roles and people are already committed for some of the swim specific roles. Other roles could be done by anyone, so please ask and we will find a suitable role for you. Most of the roles are straightforward and carried out with other parents so it will mean that you still get a chance to see your child/children swim. Like last year we aim to divide the roles into shifts so you will not be tied to a post all day. We will provide an overview of roles and what to do prior to the event.
Roles that we need volunteers to help in are:
1. Entry Desk - Sign in Officials and hand out badges to them and assure that only authorised persons go to poolside.
2. Officials Refreshments - Ensure the poolside Officials and Volunteers have the required refreshments at regular intervals.
3. Spectator's Admittance Table - Takes spectator entry fees and controls spectator access as well as holding the raffle.
4. Announcer - Provides announcements and commentary for the day.
5. Poolside Assistant - Whipping U12, Whipping Main, Main Send Up - Calling swimmers for their race and getting them into the right event
6. Assistance with admin duties, i.e. printing, laminating etc
7. Officials/ Coaches Buffet - Setting up the buffet for the Officials at break time
We will provide an overview of roles and what to do prior to the event.
