Round up of British and Swim England Summer Championships

Ciara & Freya flew the club flag well over the 2 weeks of National swimming competition, taking Chris to sunny Sheffield for a further 6 days!!

Ciara nearly made the 100 back Final in week one narrowly missing out in the club’s first swim off. Freya narrowly missed out on the 200 Breast Final by 0.1s and the 100 Breast final by 0.01s! However, the 50 free final saw Freya enter 9th and finish a fantastic 7th. Ciara qualified as the joint fastest for the 50m Backstroke and despite a slow start and being 6-8th at 25m she came back to win RSC’s 1st National medal with a bronze.

Thanks must go out to Daventry & Corby for allowing Freya & Ciara to train with them while we were closed and a massive thank you to Chris for helping them qualify and giving up 5 days of holiday to be in Sheffield.
