RUSHDEN SWIMMING CLUB AT REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Rushden Swimming Club have had a record number of swimmers qualify for this years Regional Championships.
 
During the weekend of 2nd and 3rd May, Molly Britchford and Marcus Eaton took part in the 15/over competition. Both swimmers swam well with Molly making the 16 years 50m butterfly final and finishing in 6th place and also first reserve in the 16 years 50m freestyle final. 
The weekend also saw a first appearance for Rushden, in the women's 14 - 16 years 4x100m freestyle relay, and although finishing last, Amber Bales, Philipa Kabi, Freya Cole and Molly Britchford put in a fantastic performance.
 
Our younger swimmers Louis Boot, Nathan Jones and Brett Davies competed over two weekends 30th/31st May and 6th/7th June. All three put in fantastic performances with Louis making the 14years 50m backstroke final and finishing 6th, Brett finishing 5th in the 14years 200m IM final, a reserve in the 100m butterfly final and an amazing 3rd in the 200m butterfly final. Nathan just missing out on finals for his events.
 
Rushden also had 3 other swimmers qualify for Regional Champs, Freya Cole, Jack Britchford and Ian Yarwood, who were unable to make it.
