Rushden Swimming Club A and B teams have just finished competing in the Leicester Autumn League which takes place from October to December, over 3 rounds.

This is the first year the club have been able to put two teams into the Autumn League, with both producing fantastic results. Round 1 saw the A team win their gala with the B teams being cancelled due to a fire alarm at their venue resulting in points from a virtual gala. Round 2 and the A team again won their gala which this time was drawn against the B team who put in a fantastic performance to finish in 5th place.

Round 3 on the 12th December saw the A Team competing in the Leicester League final at Braunstone and the B team at Loughborough Leisure Centre. The B Team had an extremely difficult gala with only a small part of the team able to attend, but, despite this they finished the gala in 5th putting in an amazing performance. RSC A had to put in everything they could in a very tough, but exciting final. It was very close all the way through with much support from both swimmers and spectators. The final result was Rushden finishing in a very close 2nd, 1 league point behind Nuneaton and ahead of Daventry.

All Rushden swimmers showed an outstanding performance over the rounds and have proved that their hard work since the summer has paid off.
